A space to learn, build, and grow sustainable ideas in Ladakh
Tucked away in the heart of Leh, the Rebook Resource Hub is where learning meets doing. It’s run by LEDeG (Ladakh Ecological Development Group) and brings together everything we care about—climate-friendly buildings, local technologies, practical training, and real livelihood support.
This isn’t just a campus. It’s a working model of how we can live more lightly and wisely in the mountains.
What you’ll find here
Passive Solar Buildings
Our buildings stay warm in winter without firewood or diesel. We use local materials and smart design to keep energy use low. Come see how it’s done.
Appropriate Technology Center
We develop and demonstrate simple tools that work well in Ladakh, like:
• Solar cookers
• Improved biomass stoves
• Water-saving taps and hydraulic pumps
• Earth bricks (CEMBs) made right here
Training & Skill Building
From food processing to eco-construction, we run hands-on workshops all year. Our training hall is also available for community use.
Smart Greenhouse
We grow fresh vegetables year-round using a solar-powered, sensor-controlled greenhouse. It supports our kitchen and trains local farmers.
Livelihood Support
We host small-scale units for handicrafts and food processing—offering local women and youth a chance to earn, learn, and grow.
